Overview
About Me
Born and raised in Lithuania, I’ve always felt strongly about moving elsewhere to seek more adventurous and challenging lifestyle. It first happened over two years ago when I left my home country to pursue an International Baccalaureate diploma in the Northwest of Denmark.
Thus, in 2019 May, I graduated from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Denmark. This September, I am commencing undergraduate European Law studies (LL.B.) to follow a legal career as a commercial solicitor. Later on I’d be happy to do a Master of Laws in Mergers & Acquisitions and perhaps follow it up by a doctoral degree focusing on the intersection between commercial law and corporate finance.
Besides my future plans, I’ve been an active member in numerous youth organisations, mostly focusing on debate and familiarising myself with diplomacy by simulating EU and UN activity amongst very diverse and international people. I’ve also done three legal internships before graduating from high school, travelled to around 30 countries (17 of which in 2017 alone!), been a public speaker in such places like London City Hall, a volunteer in the Red Cross Society, Amnesty International and others, as well as a business co-founder for green electricity-balancing technologies.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m doing an InterRail tour this year!
Interests
I am passionate about tax law, mergers and acquisitions, diplomacy, and corporate finance. In my free time, I read Ancient, Enlightenment Era, and postmodern philosophy, visit modern art museums, immerse myself in global news, or deepen my knowledge in the academic perspective of law. As a nature lover, I love hiking, cycling, exploring mountainous areas, and doing water sports.
