About Me

I am originally from Vietnam but have been in the US for four years for education. At the moment, I am a junior at San Jose State University, California majoring in Accounting. Before moving to San Jose, I studied in Tacoma, Washington State for two years.

Living far away from my family and friends was not easy for me at first, but I have learned how to be independent and always thankful for having such a beautiful life, a family in the US (I lived with my host family in Tacoma for 2 years), and great friends.

About hobbies, I love doing yoga, playing badminton, swimming, watching sports (football, soccer, hockey, ...), working out, hanging out with my friends for drinks on the weekends, and eating good food!!! Also, coffee is life. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you also love coffee just like me and know some cool or local coffee shops in the area.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently in DC for a summer internship as joining an internship program which gives me the opportunity to be in DC (for the first time in my life) interning at ASPEN as well as meeting with other professionals and making friends. I have been in love with the east coast culture. Now it’s time for me to explore New York, meeting with other open minded people, and learning from their experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love EDM, pop, trap music and detective movies!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last month, I’ve helped a lost dog and brought him back to his house. He’s a handsome Husky and in order to get him, I ran after him for an hour, finally trapped him into a dead end, and kept him there for another hour. Fortunately, a random guy helped me to get his owner’s info from his chip as it was late and we couldn’t get any help from the police and animal control. The owner was so happy when having him back. I’m glad that I got to help the dog and brought him back home safe and sound!!!
