About Me
Hey I am David.
People describe me as crazy and energetic, which is good, since I don't want to be normal and I want to have fun! When I first started traveling, with 14 to South Africa, I got something called "Fernweh". This is German and basically means the opposite of homesick. I set myself a goal: "I want to see every country in the world!".
Now I am going to do one year in Spain for ERASMUS +. I am exited to get to know Spain better and improve my Spanish.
Talking about problems. I have one. Besides adventures, I love board games and I am always open for some new ones. My fare-well party was just a gigantic board game night.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it is awesome! Here are the two best reasons.
First, you meet awesome people, you dive into their culture like you can not do in any other way and you see that the world can not only be cruel and mistrusting but also warmhearted and kind.
Second, you have more money to spend on food! I love food and could eat all day. I love to try new things in every country. I am kind of a sweet tooth, therefore looking for the best candy in the world.
I love people and there stories! And food don´t forget the food!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music! I like some stuff from a lot of genres my favorite musician is probably Alligatoah, who is a German raper (not like the others). He makes music that criticizes our society by being really ironic. He does everything on his own.
My favorite movie is probably inception, because it messes with your head. I love movies and shows where you end up being "What just happened?". That is one of the reasons why I love Black Mirror so much.
Books are not so my favorites and I know that is bad. I should read more, so if you have a great book pleas tell me about it and maybe you change my mind about them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing that I have done, and I am really proud of it as well, is get kicked out of the Trump Tower in Chicago. I was enjoying the view from the bar (off course without buying anything, I don't want to give him my money), as I looked up a realized, that I was only at maybe one third.
I then took the two travel mates with me and we went up the staircase. Not gone lie it, it was exhausting. After we passed the "no trespassing" signs we came to a metal door, looked... So we went down and entered a floor looking for a window, but no luck. Just apartments around us, so we turned around and went back to the elevator. "Why didn't you use the elevator in the first place?" you might ask, well you needed a card to unlock the higher levels. We didn't have one.
There he was. A man in a way too large suit came to us and said, "You are not supposed to be here, please follow me!" Even though he said please, we knew the security guard was not joking. Funny though was that he ran up 4 floors to catch us. He didn't think it was funny. "Next time you will enter this building, we will call the police". As we arrived at the first floor, we saw another security guard waiting for us.
In my opinion, this was pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you have a deck of cards I could teach you a couple of game! I can maybe teach a little bit of ukulele and guitar, but I am not really good myself, therefore only for beginners. I will try my best in teaching you some words in German, if you want to.
A lot of topics interested me. I am happy for everything that you can teach me. I love to learn new languages, especially Spanish at the moment, since I will travel through South America.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My memory is terrible, but one thing sticks. Bad Jokes! I love to tell them and I love to here them. I could also tell you about my expediences that I made so far, but I mean bad Jokes are pretty good.
