I was born and raised in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 and moved to 🇺🇸 at 15. I’m a student of International Affairs. I’m also beginning my studies in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and conducting research on sustainable fashion.

In May 2024, I will be taking summer classes in Buenos Aires 🇦🇷 and hopefully seeing more of South America 🇵🇪🇨🇱. (I also taken summer classes in Strasbourg 🇫🇷 and Galicia 🇪🇸and worked in projects in Ankara 🇹🇷 and Vancouver 🇨🇦)

I spent a few years academically exploring the concept of cross-border cooperation (that’s why I chose places like L’Alsace 🇫🇷🇩🇪 and Cyprus 🇨🇾). With a previous regional focus on the Schengen Area/European Union 🇪🇺, I explored a lot of Europe. But I realize now my understanding of the world has been limited to LATAM, North America and Europe (very Western!), so I’m making more conscious efforts to explore as much of the rest of the world as I can. That’s why I love meeting people with a deep pride in and understanding of their cultures.

I understand unfortunately this isn’t the type of accommodation a lot of hosts can offer, but it is important to my comfort level.
