About Me
Hello everyone!
I am Juan José Guzmán a Chilean anthropologist and Human Rights activist/researcher.
I love to travel, make new friends and explore different cultural backgrounds!
As a traveller, I love exploring and meeting new people. As a host, I enjoy seeing other people having fun and making the most out of the experience.
I know that as a traveler there is always the fear of "I WILL HAVE TO SHARE WITH THE HOST 24/7". That is not the case with me. I understand that people are traveling and that there is no need of being all the time together (however, I love hanging out).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The main reason why I am on Couchsurfing is that I really want to have the chance to see the real-life behind all the touristic atmosphere. I want to have the chance of knowing local people in their normal daily life.
As a host, my main reason is to do a favor to the travelers. I understand how is to travel with a low budget.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am passionate about history (which is why I love to travel) and I love international politics. I could be talking about history and politics for hours and hours without getting bored! Additionally, I am a human rights defender/expert (I hold post-graduate studies on this), which keeps me paying attention to the world's political situation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being surrounded by crocodiles in the middle of the Amazon forest at night!
