We are Ciril and Ana, a couple of 22 year old Slovenian students, currently living in Ljubljana. In July od 2022 we got married + we mainly travel together anyway, so joint profile made sense. Ciril studies biotechnology and Ana studies european law. We are many things - nature enthusiasts, culture admirers, animal lovers and big foodies.

Friends usually describe us as very open minded, chill and engaging conversationalists. We're also pretty well versed in history, philosophy, psychology, art and all that good stuff. We have lots of international friends, but would love to meet more, so Couchsurging seemed like a no-brainer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In recent years we've traveled quite a lot and have come to a point, where we could describe ourselves as incurable travel junkies. Since both of us are students, we're a little tight on a budget and if you add the fact that we loove meeting new people with totally different cultural backgrounds, Couchsurfing was, like mentioned above, a no-brainer.

Music, Movies, and Books

ANA: all across the board - classical, bossa nova, rock and folk, but every now and then, Britney Spears really hits the spot. When it comes to books, I'm currently falling behind my reading bucket list terribly, but am planning to get back on track with some Dostojevski. In regards to movies - I'm kind of a movie buff #humblebrag

CIRIL: recently I've been obsessed with Johnny Cash, but otherwise have a pretty versatile taste as well. I like mainly like to read classics, I just borrowed a book on Cant's ethic. When it comes to movies, I let Ana influence me since her cinematography knowledge is pretty solid.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ANA: saved a dying kitten, which is now alive and well and her name is Cilka.

CIRIL: I randomly met and hung out with a youtuber named GeoWizzard, one of the best GeoGuessr players

Teach, Learn, Share

We are always happy to teach people about Slovenia, it's people, culture and stunning nature. Both of us are pretty solid cooks, so we would gladly share some of our trademark meals with you:) We love to talk about plethora of things, ranging from Roman empire to Harry Potter, and most things in between. Both of us are also big Geoguessr aficionados and are down to play/willing to teach the game anytime.
