Me is Meghan, but for now its Meghan and Lucas. We are currently traveling, hitch hiking from amsterdam to the south of portugal. We will go to a theatre festival in Avignon to get inspired, visit places in the Basque country where the ancestors of Lucas come from and see what Portugal has to offer since we have never been there but people keep telling us we should go.

Meghan: i”m a dutch artist based in Amsterdam. I work mainly in the field of physical theatre and mime. Besides that i am developing my skills as a chef, as a gardener and in winter times as a knitter and embroiderer. In my free time or holidays i try to take workshops in movement practices and voice practices, i do shaolin kung fu and yoga on the side.

Lucas: i”m and Chilean artist currently based in Amsterdam. I work as an actor for theatre and cinema, dancer and singer. I spend my days writing poetry, inventing movies and learning about the mysteries of life. I would like to explore the country of my ancestors and lose myself in the nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We want to travel as low budget as possible. To see if we can still live a nomadic life without having to spend months of hard work of three weeks of traveling. Also we are artists, we have a deep need to be surrounded by people and share with new people from all around the world.
We need to be in the (real) world to feel what we are part of.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the last year we have been touring with a physical theatre piece, that is nominated for two prices, all around the Netherlands and Belgium. Now we are in between projects and therefore on this adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

We know all about theatre and movies and other performative arts forms. So if you are interested we can share. Meghan knows a great deal about cooking and is currently learning more about what grows in our wild nature to apply in the kitchen and as medicine.

Lucas would like to learn to play either the accordion or the cello to accompany him with his singing and chanting.
