About Me

Hello! My name is Eva and I’m an architect currently living in Prague. I love traveling, discovering new cultures and connecting with people from all over the world.

After university, I gained international experience during an internship in Vienna and later lived on Gran Canaria (Canary Islands), where I also worked as a volunteer. Living on the island deeply influenced my lifestyle — I fell in love with ocean culture, openness, and the slower rhythm of life.

I’m a very active person: I enjoy sports (especially cycling, running, swimming and water sports), art, architecture, music and dancing. I work as an architect, but creativity is something I live every day, not only at work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, Couchsurfing is about cultural exchange, meaningful conversations and sharing everyday life — not just a place to sleep.

I love getting to know new cultures, listening to people’s stories and learning how others live. I’m happy to share my own experiences, cook together, go for a walk, a bike ride, or talk about architecture, travel or life in general.

Interests

I dedicate my free time mainly to sport and art. I love cycling around Prague (yes, it’s an adrenaline sport 😄), visiting galleries, drawing, painting and exploring contemporary architecture and design.

Dance is a big part of my life — especially dancehall, a street dance style originating from Jamaica. One of my strongest experiences was traveling to Jamaica, where I learned dancehall directly at its roots. Music, movement and culture are inseparable for me.

I’m also very interested in Spanish language and the culture of Spanish-speaking countries. I enjoy learning languages through travel, everyday life and meeting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a very important part of my life and is strongly connected to movement and dance. I mostly listen to dancehall, house, hip hop, indie rock, pop and 80’s music. Music often reflects where I am or where I’ve been — Jamaica, Spain or island life definitely shaped my taste.

I enjoy films, especially documentaries, because I love learning new things and discovering different perspectives. I’m also a big fan of animated movies for their visual creativity and artistic expression, and I have a soft spot for Czech comedies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It’s hard to choose just one, but traveling, hitchhiking and couchsurfing across the Balkans was a life-changing experience.
Another unforgettable moment was learning dancehall in Jamaica, surrounded by the culture, music and people where it all began.
