Hi there! You can call me Leong. I'm doing my bachelor degree in chemical engineering in Malaysia. Last year I did a research internship program in Belgium for 5 months. It opened my eyes and makes me want to explore the world.

I'm a chinese🙋‍♀️ (Chinese descendent) from Malaysia 🇲🇾 (Pure Malaysian). Had to specify since I get a lot of questions about my ethnicity and race. Basically, I've been a Malaysian my whole life. Malaysia is a multicultural country. So we categorize ourselves as chinese.

I'm an easy going and open-minded person who loves to travel and meet new people. I first got the idea of solo traveling when I was 21 years old. You can call it the click.

*Detail-oriented (very organised). I like to plan my itinerary in advance and even small tiny lil stuff, I take into an account.

*I get along with almost everyone (check my reference). However, I do notice language is a barrier sometimes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm still a student and have to stay within student budget and currency conversion is quite weak, coming from Malaysia. So, I find couchsurfing as an alternative for me. In return, I get to meet new people and explore the place at the same time.

1. I can prepare 5 stars breakfast for you. Well, I mean not really 5 stars 👉👈. Somewhat edible I guess 😅

2. I'm a friendly person. I get along with people regardless of age gap. I can offer great conversation and you get to know more about me and Malaysia. I once chatted with a total stranger for 7 hours at Stockholm airport.

3. I'm a very hygienic person. I don't leave any mess behind. So, you don't have to worry about that.
