One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a Volunteer program in Colombia with AIESEC on 2018. I was meant to be an English teacher for kids, but mostly I was a friend, a life teacher, like an older brother to them. I enjoyed a lot the experience (even with the bad things that happened) , I met amazing people from all over the world, and it made me think about all the things from life I wasn't aware of and that now I want to learn about.

I climbed to see the Volcano of Fire in Guatemala erupting (photos in profile).

Backpacked for 2.5 months across 21 countries in Europe. Right now has been the best experience I've had.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I usually stay at hostels since I'm just like 1-2days per city. But if I stay at someone's place, I give the same as I ask when I'm the host:

-The guest (me in this case) having a plan instead of just staying at the house. Because the guest is traveling, but the host has things to do (work, family, hobbies, friends, gym, etc).

-Getting back at a decent hour to sleep (instead of having the host worried or awake waiting).

-Being respectful of the rules (cleaning, not wasting water, mantaing order, etc etc). Because it's not a hotel.

-Respecting privacy and stuff. The host's food, things, room, etc. Unless the host says you can use their things, you should use yours (your food, your shampoo, etc etc). No one likes when stuff dissapears.

-I give guests their space, and that's why I always gave them their own room. If they're tired, or if their social battery is out or whatever, I understand that. If they get out of the room and they wanna spend time with me, cook dinner, chat or to go out, perfect (And I prefer it like this... I'm super social during the day but at night I like to get right to my room and rest alone to charge my social battery).

-No drugs, no sexual stuff, no nudity, no weird things. When I'm the host I give a safe place to stay and rest. I'm hoping for when I'm the guest to be given the same.

- Last but not least, I've many stories to tell and I'm sure people will have plenty to tell me
