About Me

I currently live in Bonn, Germany, but I am about to move to Capetown in January . I love travelling, would even call it my biggest hobby, I like to get to know new cultures and learn new languages. Besides that I do a lot of hiking in my freetime. I also love cooking and eating, especially trying recipes from all over the world, so I would love to try your favorite dish with you:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The people make the journey. I sincerely believe that this is true. You only get to know a country intensely and deeply, when you really get in touch with the local people and spend time with them. These people you meet on your journey can be more important than the journey itself. You learn from them, as they might learn from you and in the best possible way, each trip brings you back with not only great experiences, but with some little things, that you want to include in your way of living.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

happened to spend the night at a bamboo house in the northern peruvian highland jungle in the middle of nowhere, since we got drunk, it was dark and we could not go back to the "city". This grandma and her two adorable little girls were the best hosts, I could ever asked for. They prepared the best caldo de gallina (chicken soup) for us (just after they caught and killed the chicken), they invited us to many (too many for me) of their home made fruit liquors and we danced almost all night, even though they only had one power generator for the place and they even offered their beds to us and slept on the ground. Most amazing gesture of hospitality I have ever experienced in my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to cook for you, even though it might not be a typical German dish
