About Me

Hello! Im a very respectful and empathetic person who is taking the year to travel many new-to-me areas of the United States in hopes of finding where I belong for the next phase of my life.
I love to ride bicycles, read (generally fiction) and I play most instruments rather well. I love to discuss any old topic with folks and im a very cheerful person and an active listener.

Ask me anything!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im frequently staying with friends as much as possible when traveling and have a great network of friends across the country but would love to make some new friends in some new places. :) I love to help out with projects and cleaning at hosting houses so dont hesitate to ask for my help. I have used this site a few times but it was under my previous partners account so im new, but not technically new to couchsurfing.
I have also hosted hundreds of touring musicians over the years and have always had great conversations and connections.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music! Most kinds: from ambient to jazz to electronic to oldies I love most all of it. (But I've always had an especially soft spot for 80s new wave.) I play veraions of indie rock/folk/and ambient music in my spare time.

Books: Too many favorites to name but an author I've always admired is Tom Robbins. He combines elegant wordplay with often comical characters and explores some extremely interesting political, historical, philosophical, and naturalist themes. Favorite book of his is Jitterbug Perfume.

Films: I like sci-fi, documentaries and artisticly daring films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently got the chance to visit Alaska and im already trying to find my way back there. Such a rugged and untamed part of the world. It vastly exceeded my expectations for beauty and wildlife and I highly recommend seeing it for yourself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach people routine and basic bicycle maintenance skills as well as expanding the musical instrument knowledge and ears of others. Im a decent cook and I can bring a lot of creative and constructive energy to an exchange.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I stated above, I'm more than happy to help with most projects and always happy to clean in commonspaces. Im also willing to cook as well as filling a room with beautiful music for others to cook or relax to.
I can also help you tune up or fix your bicycle.
Im also great with pets and plants and can help you with them in any way.

Also very happy to act as simply a helping hand at any task you'd like help accomplishing. Feel free to ask!
