Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to become friends with people who have diverse nationalities, cultures, and philosophies. Additionally, I want to learn about cultures that are deeply rooted in the daily lives of local residents, which cannot be gained through regular tourism. Although I am not fluent in English, I would like to improve it through conversations with my hosts. I intend to maintain a lifestyle of wandering around the world without settling down, so it would be great if I could establish long-lasting relationships through Couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 19, I traveled alone to Cambodia and found myself confined in an apartment by a scam group. They robbed me of all my savings at the time, which was 300,000 yen (about 1,900 euros). It was an incident caused by my own naivety. However, I was able to escape and found refuge with a kind-hearted family, who helped heal my wounded spirit.

As a front-end engineer, I have practical-level programming skills. I mostly work with web front-end technologies, as well as programming environments suitable for digital installations like Unity, TouchDesigner, and Max/MSP.
