Hi! I'm Giulia, an Italian girl originally from near Venice 🇮🇹

I lived in Paris 🇫🇷 for many years, working in luxury hospitality. Since 2021 my life has taken a different direction: I started living more nomadically, spending a lot of time in Medellín, Colombia 🇨🇴 (where I have my apartment) and traveling around Latin America and Asia 🌎✈️

For me, traveling is not only about visiting places, but about connecting with people, cultures and different ways of seeing life. I like to travel slowly and spend a few weeks in each country to really experience it.

2026 plan
At the end of this year I’m planning to temporarily leave Latin America to spend several months exploring Asia 🌏

I usually travel solo and enjoy having my own space and independence, but from time to time I really appreciate spending a couple of days with locals to share stories and discover a place from the inside.

For me Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to experience a place beyond tourism.

What I value most:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job to travel the world 🌎

A few years ago I decided to change my life and build a more nomadic lifestyle.

How it started:
• After many years in Paris working in luxury hospitality, I felt the desire to explore the world more freely.
• During the pandemic I started working online as an Italian teacher.
• Soon after, I left my job and began traveling.

Since then:
• I’ve spent a lot of time in Colombia 🇨🇴
• I’ve explored different parts of Latin America and Asia 🌎

It’s not always easy, but it has given me something incredibly valuable: freedom, unforgettable experiences, and the chance to meet amazing people from all over the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy cultural exchange and meaningful conversations about travel, life and different perspectives on the world.

I’m always happy to share stories from my travels and my experiences living between Europe and Latin America. And of course, if you’re interested, I can help you practice Italian, French or Spanish 😊

I also enjoy cooking, so I’d be happy to prepare a simple Italian meal, share music, or even teach a few basic bachata steps 💃
