Hello, my name is Fatma. I am 20 years old and I am from Turkey. I am currently studying in the Czech Republic. I have a passion for travel and would like to see more of Europe as I think it is a beautiful place. I want to meet people from different cultures and see how other people live. I am studying to be an English teacher in Turkey and therefore I want to improve my English and so it is important that I meet different people to do this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfıng because I want to meet nice people from different cultures and see how a local would live. I thınk its important when travelling to fully integrate in the culture to really appricate where you are. Couchsurfing gives me the oppertunity to do this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Turkey I teach vulnerable young children in an orphanage. I donate my time to volunteer to teach the children English and sometimes Turkish if they need. that place is called "Sevgi Evleri". I have been doing this for one year now and it is extremely reward but also challenging. I can see a big difference in their English which I am proud of. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to do this and I am keen to continue my efforts when I return to Turkey. I have create strong bonds with the young girls there and this to me is one of the most important parts of the process. I believe that everyone should have a fair chance in life so this is one way to give back.
