Overview
About Me
I'm a spanish guy, currently travelling all over the world. Before this, I studied in Spain, and then worked in Spain and England. I started the trip the 3rd November 2019 and at the moment I've finished the first part of the trip, which I did with my van around Europe. Now I've crossed to Russia from Tallin and will keep moving by train to the East. After this, we'll see...
I am also studying History and Art history in an online university as a hobby.
I love travelling alone with my camera but forgive me if my profile is short in pictures of myself, is beacuse I don't normally take them! But will upload them in the weird event that I have one taken.
You can check my Instagram, if interested: @smonzon90
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm in Couchsurfing to get to know locals while travelling alone through the world. Visiting a city on my own is great but is never the same as visiting with locals, and that's why I like to try both ways in some of the cities I visit.
Interests
I love music and movies a lot. Also I read a lot and play the guitar. And of course travelling: learning new languages, exchange points of view...
Science (specially physics), history, politics, but potentially interested in almost everything. If the person talking really likes what he or she is talking about, automatically has my attention.
Like nature more than cities
and the countryside more than the beach.
I'd rather travel than work
and taking trains than planes.
I like the cold days more than the warm ones,
photographies more than paintings
a good movie more than a TV show
and rock music above all.
I really enjoy food and eating and am always open to try new dishes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I like all except electronic and reggeaton.
Favourites: Metallica, Pantera, Héroes del silencio, Joaquín Sabina
Books: I read a lot about history, essays and politics but also love a good, long novel.
Films: I have seen hundreds and hundreds of movies and like all kinds: from 1900 to 2020; from Chile and México to Corea, China and Japan, all across Europe via Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Rusia, black and white, colour, silent, animation, you name it.
Favourites: Pulp Fiction and Apocalypse now come to mind, but I could write 100.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travel for three months in South America.
Currently travelling around the world. The idea is to go towards the East, come back home from the West and see what happens in between.
Teach, Learn, Share
- I can teach my language, which is Spanish, and also would feel confortable teaching english.
- Can share some tips about photography, I have worked in some occasions as a professional photographer.
- Maybe playing the guitar, at least I know how to play it, don't know how I'd be as a teacher.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share travel experiences (and tips!) from a few places (see below) and a good chat about cinema, music, books. Also some cooking and, of course, spanish if anyone is willing to learn some.
