About Me
I’m a not the best to sell myself, but I’ll try my best!
I’m Romain, a French 27 yo (soon to be 28) who likes to travel.
In my day to day life, I live in Paris and I work in digital marketing and communication. I graduated from my master’s degree in July and I’ve been traveling since October, as a sort of gap year before getting myself into work.
I speak French, which is my native tongue and I’m fluent in English. As for Spanish, I am rusted to say the least. I did not practice for 10 years and I have to learn it again. It’s a challenge for sure, but I love challenges!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Essentially to meet new people, share stories, discover experiences and different cultures through people.
I’m a good talker but I’m an even better listener!
I have been traveling with a friend of mine in South East Asia for about two months, and I am currently traveling through South America with another friend.
In March, I will be traveling by my self through Mexico which will be a whole new experience for me.

Music, Movies, and Books
It’s hard for me to pick a favorite anything, so here’s a non exhaustive list of what could define my taste:
Music: from funk music (Kool and The Gang, Earth, Wind and Fire, Imagination) to really katchy pop songs, to pop-folk music and electro. The YouTube channel ‘Colors’ is a great way to discover new musics and artists, which I love.
Movies: anything by Xavier Dolan, Gaspard Noe and Yorgos Lanthimos, the Fifth Element, the Harry Potter series, Star Wars ans lately the movies that left a mark : Divines, Capharnaüm, Sherazade, Hereditary, Spiderman : into the spiderverse, Parasite...
Books: Harry Potter series, Fahrenheit 461, Les 10 petits nègres...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One field trip with some of my classmate to Benin, we worked with kids from very different backgrounds on social and cultural activities. It was such a signifiant, yet simple act of kindness with these kids that made my day and theirs as well. I will never forget this experience which still resonate with me on so many levels.
