I am from a small town in South Africa and grew up close to nature and the ocean. I am very adventurous and love animals and the outdoors. I am loyal and always treat everyone with respect. My hobbies included hiking, trail running, mountain biking, swimming, camping and surfing. I love being challenged and always try to push my own boundaries.

I finished my degree in Civil Engineering in 2019 at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. After more than 2 years of working as a Civil Engineer for WBHO Construction a mate and I decided to take a 6 month sabbatical to explore the world.

With our travels we intend to meet new people, have new adventures, learn new skills, learn from different cultures and make new friends. I am new to the Couch Surfing platform, but think this is the best way of achieving all of these goals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once while camping in a National Park in Zambia on our rooftop tents we woke up to something hitting our tent...

We unzipped the tent and found ourselves looking straight into the eye of a wild African elephant eating the leaves above our tent!! Scary, but incredible!!

I can teach Afrikaans and would love to learn other languages as well. I would also love to learn about different foods from different countries.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can help with different chores and tasks in and around the house. Cooking traditional South African dishes. Good company.
