Hi, I’m Artrick from Taiwan. After couple years of traveling in Taiwan and other countries, I move to New Taipei City in summer of 2025. I work on night shift in hotel, so I need to sleep in the daytime. Even that, I do still hope to host or meet up new friends.

My place is located in Banqiao district of New Taipei City but NOT in central of Banqiao. However, it is a quiet community and you may reach to city central around 15 minutes by bicycle , 20 minutes by bus. Easy card is a good tool when you travel in Taiwan. My hobbies are small hiking, reading and playing board games. Food is the most importance culture in Taiwan life.😛 I may not be able to company your trip because of different time zones but I am willing to find time to hangout .🙂

Some rules in my place:
1. keep house clean all the time
2. Smoking outside
3. Keep quiet after 10 PM(my neighbors ever complained)
4. Shoes off before enter the house
5. No eating or drinking in bed
6. You may have house keys but keep them safe and return
7. WiFi available now!!! Finally 🥹
8. Still no washing machine and no refrigerator yet
9. Old apartment which means a lot of stairs to 5th where I live 🫣 let’s exercise
10. I am tired of being an assistant to make YouTube videos or to influencers 😆 Please film the beauty of Taiwan by yourself.

I have a double bed and extra single mattress. It means I can host solo or couple traveler(s) at one time. My living room can become one temporary room. We may discuss how to arrange sleeping space.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I knew couchsurfing from a book"在家環遊世界！：400沙發客住我家" years ago and that shocked me a lot. In 2020, I made a new year goal: meet new friends. That is why you see me here. Doing couchsurfing takes courage. Through couchsurfing, I hope to learn more about myself and challenge myself also.
