About Me

I believe in sharing and that too many resources go to waste or are underutilized because we are generally sceptical of other people. One stark evidence of this belief is my blog where I share my experiences in the high hopes that the person who needs the information will find it in some way and be delighted that they encountered it. Of course, that belief is also the primary reason why I am here.

I spend most of my time on my own as a lot of my hobbies can be done alone. However, I also cherish the moments where I can connect through conversation with an honest and open-minded person. My ideal lunchtime is one that I spend with a colleague who is not scared of talking with me about the things that matter to them and whatever anxieties they might be facing at the moment. I appreciate every opportunity to see life through another person's lens. There is no 'funner' way to learn for me.

I work a pretty conventional job as a Software Engineer and I feel fortunate to say that most days, I do not leave the office feeling drained, frustrated or stressed out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here primarily to make new connections, either by being a guest at another Couchsurfer's place or giving another Couchsurfer the gift of my personal space and company. I have an extra couch in my single room that I never use and I imagine that every now and then, it could really be a big blessing for someone out there.

A few days before I joined Couchsurfing, I happened upon this article (https://andreasmoser.blog/2020/01/26/couchsurfing/) from one of my favourite bloggers and thought that hosting a surfer might just be the ideal use for that space.
