About Me

I’m a musician and an artist travelling from New Zealand around Europe for the first time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m travelling Europe for the first time and I would love to meet up with like-minded people. I’m looking for hang outs and places to stay. I’d love to meet some fellow musicians and artists, have some jams and go to art openings, share feedback and collaborate. Especially appreciative of queer friendly homes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a wide range of music, from indie pop to drone. I also listen to a lot of New Zealand music which covers every facet of genres in our own unique way. But mainly I find bliss in pumping techno, often also with ambient undertones. At the moment I’m interested in broadening my listening into heavier genres of music outside of the industrial techno realms. But also into dreamier feminine areas of electronic indie pop music. I’m always trying to push myself to listen to music I don’t find the idea of attractive, look closely, pick it apart and draw inspiration from it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

All I can really say is that in 2019 I graduated from my Master of Fine Arts, went on a tour of New Zealand with my electronic/experimental punk band, held a three day experimental music festival, and exhibited a surreal sound installation work memorialising the Fine Arts Library where I was working.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m a musician and a sound artist. I’m carrying round a DJ controller and Electribe 2 sampler which are very fun to share, teach and jam with. I’ll even DJ your party if you want. I can some fantastic Kiwi music with you. Or we can just have interesting, intellectual and compassionate conversations. I’m also happy to give you feedback on art you’re working on or have a cute art collaboration session together!
