Hello guys,

I'm Hakan, 23, student of pharmacy at Marmara University. I will be an Erasmus Exchange Student at Italy - Catania between 27th February and 4th August. It will be my first going abroad and even first flight so i'm excited about that! 🤓

Erasmus gives me huge opportunities to discover new places, get to know new cultures and new lifestyles and make new friends, so i want to evaluation my opportunities as much i can.

I am not seeing CouchSurfing hosts' as freehostels; i want to make new friends around the world and spend good time with them while answering our questions and bringing new vision for each other.

I will be not alone while my Erasmus; i will be with one my closest friends, Beyda, so if you want to meet with me, i may bring my friend too 🤓

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Firstly, i want to make new friends and share somethings with them. I want develop myself as much i can so making new friends is a big step.

Then, you know, you can find lots of famous places, coffe shops from internet at Istanbul...but locals like me and live here, we usually don't prefer to go these famous places. I am wondering and want to learn; at some place where locals are usually go? What they eat? What they prefer to do?

So i'm here!

I love listening Starset and The Score bands; i love reading fantasy and dystopian books such as The Dispossessed, 1984, Ready Player One, A Song of Ice and Fire; my favourite serie is Avatar the Last Airbender.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Actually things that i have done before are camping at Antalya, Kaş with my friends and scubadiving at Ayvalık, Balikesir and also i have been doing kickboxing since 6 months and it makes me more calm and i'm grateful for that :").
