About Me
As a filmmaker, I'm is obsessed with the mystery of life. Attempts to materialize the sacred, memory, and the past appears in different ways — investigations on the idea of finitude, death. Through a strong element of observation towards the other or essayistic gestures of personal cinema, every film unravels firmly decisive thematics in simple stories well told. Often slightly humorous in its ordinary aspects, it is the quotidian life facing the abyss.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Cinema from Pontifical Catholic University (2009) and a post-graduation in documentary directing from Getulio Vargas Foundation (2017), both in Rio de Janeiro. I'm currently part of DocNomads, a joint master program in documentary film based in Lisbon, Budapest, and Brussels.
After graduation, I started to work in a post-production house in which he developed to be the lead colorist in a few years. In 2014, he co-founded Cajamanga, a post-production company based in Rio de Janeiro. I worked in over six feature films, many TV shows, and several shorts premiered in festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand, Jihlava.
With the company established, I went on to edit and direct documentaries, his great passion.
