Hello, I am an international student in the US. I am originally from Ukraine but I was born in Turkey. Whole my life, I lived in three different countries simultaneously, in Ukraine, Turkey and Russia. So, I always have struggles with explaining where I am from.

I major in Business Administration, whereas, my partner’s major is biomedical engineering. We will graduate in a year. Right now, I work as a TA, my job is to create animated educational videos about business analytics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to US alone at 18 years old to study in Chicago where I meat my partner. We applied to 15 different universities together in order to transfer. I was accepted by Berkeley, Cornell, Emory… but only one university accepted us both, Georgia Tech, so, we went there. All my life, I had issues with English language and after two years in US, I was accepted by high rating schools and it was enough for me, I didn’t even need to go there. Also, I didn’t let the desire of social acceptance to motivate my decisions, I listened to myself.
