Christian and I are between degrees, working and getting out when we can. I work as a postpartum and NICU nurse and am applying to grad school next year. Outside of work you can find me reading, taking pictures of nature and wildlife, cooking, thrifting, playing music with my babe, going hiking and planning our next trip.

Christian, my husband, is a music teacher and currently working on his masters in jazz guitar. He loves gigging and jamming!

Music, Movies, and Books

My husband is a musician, so we have a very diverse music taste. If you like music you’ll have a lot to talk about! Favorite genres are jazz(Chet Baker, small combos), bluegrass&folk(Avett Brothers, The Punch Brothers), funk(James Brown, Volfpeck), hip hop(D’Angelo).

As for movies, we like documentaries, foreign films and classics. A few favorites are Dead Poet Society, 3 Idiots, and Star Wars.

I love reading. I recently finished “The body keeps the score” by Bessel Van Der Kolk” and am currently reading “Becoming” by Michelle Obama. I have a growing library, check my list out on goodreads:

What I Can Share with Hosts

We want to host an environment where guests can feel comfortable and enjoy the beauties and diversity of our city. We don’t have a lot of space but you’re welcome to make yourself at home in our living room. We’re pretty consistent with the “couch surfing” title as we have a couch and if there’s more one of you we’ll get out the mattress pads.
