My name is Clémence. I'm a 21-year-old girl from France. I am studying Political Sciences and Literature at the university. I currently live in Rio de Janeiro as an exhange student.

I am open-minded and respectful. I consider Couchsurfing a way of discovering places, culture and people we don't know yet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I created my account in order to meet new people and to find a free place to sleep when I travel abroad! However, because I am a student, I can't travel during the year: I have to wait until the vacation. But I still wanted to meet new people and to make them enjoy Lyon (where I used to live) so I hosted some couchsurfer during the year. Anyway, I am doing an exhange so it is finally my turn to travel! As a consequence, I stayed in Tunisia for the past six months and I am now traveling in Europe. I am looking foward meeting new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the summer of 2021, I went on a hitchhiking road trip for one week with Matias. We went from Lyon to Bruxelles, then from Bruxelles to Amsterdam, from Amsterdam to Hamburg, to a farm in the north of Germany, to Stuggart, to finally come back to France. Even if it was quite short, it has been a wonderful experience for me. I met wonderful and helpful people all along my trip. Places were flabbergasted! It made me realize that everything is possible concerning traveling, no matter how much you have on your bank account or how many miles you have to go through to reach the place you want.
