About Me
I was forced to leave my home due to the war, but I'm determined to move forward and start a new life. Although I can be a bit shy, I'm making an effort to overcome this and meet new people. I'm very interested in getting to know people from different backgrounds and learning about their cultures and experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hey there! So, I'm new to Couchsurfing and I'm super excited to jump in and see what kind of experiences await me. I've been hearing so much about how awesome this platform is for connecting travelers like me with local hosts and immersing yourself in a new culture. I'm on a tight budget, but I still want to experience all the amazing things a new place has to offer. And what better way to do that than by staying with locals who can show me the best spots, share their traditions, and maybe even become good friends? I'm a little nervous about being a first-timer, but I'm also really looking forward to meeting interesting people and learning as much as I can from them. So, if you're up for some cultural exchange, let's make it happen!
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big fan of movies and TV shows, especially thrillers, fantasy, detective, and comedy genres. Marvel is one of my favorite franchises, and I enjoy watching series like The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Dexter, Breaking Bad, The Vampire Diaries, Better Call Saul, Fear the Walking Dead, Supernatural, American Horror Story, and Black Mirror. When it comes to music, I love listening to different genres, including pop, indie, punk, and more. I'm open to exploring different genres and discovering new artists. I'm excited to meet new people through Couchsurfing and exchange our favorite books, movies, and music recommendations.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So, listen to this: I was in the middle of my German class when I saw on Instagram that Yungblud, my favorite artist, was going to have a free concert in Berlin in just 7 hours! I didn't even think twice, and as soon as class was over, I ran to catch the train to Berlin without my charger or wallet.
The journey was pretty intense, but I was determined to make it to the concert no matter what. And I did! As soon as I got there, I was caught up in the amazing energy of the crowd. I met some really cool people who loved Yungblud's music just like me, and we had a blast together.
The concert was totally epic, and to make it even better, I was able to get a free poster signed by Yungblud himself! Can you believe it?! This adventure was so unforgettable, and even now, thinking back on that night gives me chills. It was one of those rare moments in life when everything just works out perfectly, and I'm so thankful that I got to experience it all.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a curious and open-minded traveler, and I love learning about new cultures and ways of life. I'm always excited to share my own experiences and perspectives, and I'm eager to hear about yours too. Whether we have a fun language exchange or work together on a project, I'm here to make meaningful connections.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm actually fluent in Ukrainian and Russian, and my English is pretty good too (at least my English friends say so). I'd love to chat with you in any of these languages and help each other improve. And if you have any issues with tech or computers, feel free to reach out to me for assistance.
By the way, I used to enjoy cooking when I lived in Ukraine. I could prepare some amazing Ukrainian dishes and even dishes from other cultures. Although I don't cook as often now, I'd be happy to give it a shot and make something for you if you're interested. Just be warned, it may not turn out perfect.
