Overview
About Me
¡Hola! I’m Ángel, a 33 year-old adventurer originally from Mexico, now living in Scotland. I’ve been lucky enough to explore parts of Japan, Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden, England, France, and all across Scotland and Italy. Traveling has become my way of life—it feeds my love for storytelling, photography, and connecting with people from different cultures.
I hold a master’s degree in Biomedical Technology, and I currently work full-time in the healthcare field. Outside of work, I’m passionate about capturing moments through my lens. Whether it’s street scenes in Tokyo or golden hour in the Highlands, photography lets me document beauty and spark conversations.
Couchsurfing is my way of meeting kind souls on the road. I’ve used it before in Belfast, and it completely reshaped how I think about travel. I’m keen to share stories, laughs, and maybe some homemade Mexican food if we get the chance!
When I’m not behind the camera or chatting about travel, you’ll find me cycling, swimming, or chilling over a coffee. Let’s connect, share perspectives, and make memories worth framing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to share real, human moments with others while traveling on a budget. It’s not about free places to stay, but about the people I meet. Every host has taught me something new. I love sharing meals, stories, and spontaneous adventures that no guidebook could offer.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste swings wildly—from “Bolero Glam” by Daniel Me Estás Matando to moody orchestral pieces and techno. I love cinematic scores and everything that tells a story through sound.
Favorite movie? Definitely Tenet. I love anything by Nolan, Marvel epics, and psychological thrillers that dig into the mind.
I’m not a big reader, but I enjoy Dan Brown novels and audiobooks—especially during long train rides or while editing photos.
Let’s swap music, recommend movies, or just chat about whatever inspires us.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most life-changing things I’ve done was move to Scotland to pursue my master’s degree. I left my comfort zone, embraced a new language and culture, and grew not only academically but personally. It helped me develop more empathy, independence, and curiosity about the world. I’ve now traveled across Europe and Japan, connecting with people, stories, and places that continue to shape how I see the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you photography tips, how to frame a great shot, or even edit your photos. I’m also happy to share insights about prosthetics—how we design and build limbs to help people walk again.
Learn: I’m always curious about local history, unique traditions, or fun ghost stories. I’d love to hear about yours.
Share: From heartfelt cultural stories to killer homemade tacos, I enjoy creating a relaxed, joyful vibe wherever I go.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook Mexican food (yes, real salsa!), help tidy up, or make you laugh with ghost stories from back home. I travel light but bring my camera and a good attitude. Whether it’s helping with chores, swapping playlists, or exploring the city together—I’m all in.
