About Me

Hi, I'm Doğukan, a 21-year-old adventurer! I'm studying geological engineering.

I am trying to travel as much as I can and words are just not enough to explain how much I love traveling (solo or in a group) and meeting people from different cultures.

I used CS several times but I'm still a newbie and also I am quite willing to be a part of the CS community.

I'm quite enthusiastic about politics, history, rocks, and geography... I usually go to religious sites or museums while visiting a city. Since I was 18 I was pretty much focused on Europe to see but now I'm willing to learn more about other continents (especially SE Asia) and visit one day!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm in love with the welcoming Couchsurfing philosophy! Thanks to CS I met a lot of great people all around the world and I'm willing to meet more!!!

I've been using CS for couple of years now and I don'regret it at all :)

I love solving a good jigsaw puzzle and cycling. Would enjoy watching a nice movie as well! Other than that I really like walking in nature and swimming

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorites change constantly, it's like I'm listening to one music for a week non-stop then I never listen again. Currently, I am obsessed with traditional Greek music. About books, I can say I am focused on more biology-evolution-anthropology-related books rather than fiction. On the other hand, my favorite film is probably The Pianist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting a city while it was under attack (some middle east problems...)

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I want to be an academician so teaching something is one of my biggest hobbies!! I find it interesting to teach Turkisih to foreigners, as well as Turkish food or culture. I am super passionate about evolution (especially human evolution and other human species) and politics is my another topic of interest.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Delightful conversations, my travelling stories and past experiences and maybe a cold beer :) I usually have something traditional from my country to give my hosts as well :)
