Overview
About Me
Hi, I’m Sudharshana Doddamallajjar Thippeswamy, an adventurer, cyclist, and passionate traveler from Karnataka, India. My journey began with a dream to explore the world, connect with people, and embrace diverse cultures. Over the years, I’ve traveled extensively across India, visiting almost all states, each offering unique experiences, breathtaking landscapes, and incredible stories.
One of my most memorable adventures in India was cycling from Bengaluru to Singapore, a life-changing expedition that taught me resilience, gratitude, and the joy of human connections. I’ve explored the diverse beauty of India’s states, from the beaches of Goa to the mountains of Himachal, the deserts of Rajasthan, and the lush greenery of the Northeast.
Travel Abroad
So far, I’ve cycled through seven amazing countries:
1. Vietnam – Immersing myself in the vibrant culture and connecting with kind-hearted locals.
2. Cambodia – Exploring historic sites like Angkor Wat and staying in pagodas with warm and welcoming people.
3. Laos – Experiencing both challenges and hospitality in a country with stunning Hindu temple carvings.
4. Thailand – Admiring its modern infrastructure and rich traditions during my ride from north to south.
5. Malaysia – Feeling at home among Tamil communities and experiencing diverse cultures.
6. Singapore – Being hosted by amazing Kannada families and witnessing the city’s architectural marvels.
7. India – My home country, where every state is a new adventure filled with vibrant traditions and diverse people.
Now, I’m embarking on my World Tour on my bicycle, starting with Sri Lanka as my eighth country. This journey is more than just travel; it’s about building connections, sharing stories, and inspiring others to dream big.
About My NGO
I’m also the founder of the Sudarshan Sanchari Foundation, an initiative that focuses on education and social development. Through the foundation, I aim to support educational infrastructure, organize clean-up drives, provide legal assistance, and inspire sustainable practices. My travels and experiences often contribute to the foundation’s vision of making a difference wherever possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, travel is about people. Couchsurfing offers a unique opportunity to connect with locals, understand their way of life, and share unforgettable memories. I believe in the power of exchange – not just cultural, but also of ideas, kindness, and support.
I’ve had incredible hosting experiences during my travels, staying with kind families, pagodas, and even police stations, and each one has left me with lifelong friendships. I hope to continue this journey of connection and learning with Couchsurfing.
