About Me

Hey everybody! My name is Dídac and I am a 25 year old backpacker from nearby Barcelona :). Since November 2023 I am going to be living in Nouakchott for almost a year, so whenever you are here, message me! I do have a low answer rate cause last year I was really busy and not really able to host anyone. I do not need a big paragraph from you, just be straightforward and tell me which days really work for you :). I can show you around the capital of Mauritania and if I am lucky and in the next weeks I can buy a car, we will be able to move around much better. I hope you are not expecting a resort with piña coladas, cause I can only offer you a couch, not even a bed. Hope that's alright :)

I have been traveling as a backpacker since I was 17 years old and I will keep doing it till I die. I love talking and learning about cultures, as I am a Cultural Anthropologist. I have also been working as a photojournalist, covering elections in countries like Iraq or The Gambia, so we can talk about geopolitics too.

I have been to 75 countries and I do want to visit them all. Also I have done so many workaways but never got started on CS, not until I got to Iraq, where I first tried it.

I love cooking and learning about your local cuisines. I can show you some delightful Spanish recipes and you can teach me about your favorite dishes :)
