About Me
Hello everyone, I am Salicha!
I work full-time at a non-governmental organization focused on science education for children and youth. I coordinate robotics and STEM programs, which means I spend a lot of time working with inspiring young minds, volunteers, and international partners. Education, impact, and community mean a lot to me.
I’ve been part of international projects and volunteering programs for years, so meeting people from different cultures feels very natural to me. I truly enjoy meaningful conversations about life, culture, psychology, travel stories, or even random deep 2am talks.
I’m respectful, clean, organized, and mindful of personal space. I’m more into cultural experiences, long walks, local cafés, museums, and discovering neighborhoods than partying every night (but I do enjoy a good social atmosphere!).
I believe travel is not about ticking places off a list, but about connection; sharing stories, perspectives, and sometimes even silence.
If I stay with you, I’m happy to cook something from Turkish cuisine, bring a small gift, and of course respect your home like my own.
Looking forward to meeting kind, open-minded people around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is so mixed up. I love pop, soul, classical turkish music, r&b and house.
I love watching thriller movies. My other favorite genres are comedy, sci-fi and biographies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Belgrade, Serbia my friends and I made a plan. They were going to the mall to buy something, and I was going to pick them up from there with the car we rented. After we separated, they got lost and sent me their location. (The Wi-Fi available where I was at that point.) As I went to pick them up, even though they were at the location they sent me, I couldn't find them. I had to return to the city center to find Wi-Fi, and when I did, they told me they were there but they also couldn't see me. I went back the same way and finally picked them up.
