I'm Marta, a 28-year old woman from Montcada i Reixac, a city in the province of Barcelona. I have graduated from my master's degree this summer and I am now working for a risk consultancy company in Durham, UK. I enjoy reading about different cultures, learning foreign languages, birdwatching, volunteering and practicing martial arts amongst others. I have a wide range of interests! From discussing books such as Wuthering Heights or Les Misérables to talking about series such as Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad, we can have a chat over more intellectual topics or over trivia.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I hope I can make the couchsurfing experience a win-win situation. I want to meet new people to practice languages, try different foods, discover new places and hopefully make long-lasting friendships. In return, I can teach you how to cook great Spanish meals such as tortilla, paella and croquetas. I also hope we can chill out, chat and try out new activities together.

I'd like to travel to all continents, no exceptions. My adventure partners are my boyfriend, my sister or my friends but I'd like to travel solo too!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have travelled to the Georgian-Russian border with my friends with little money and with little notion of the local languages. I have slept next to chickens, hiked in the mountain nearby whilst raining cats and dogs. At the end of this adventure, we were invited to an Orthodox wedding on the top of the mountain after reaching it soaked and wet!

Besides teaching you lovely Spanish dishes, we can practice Spanish, French or English. Also, we can have long conversations whilst enjoying the view and having a nice beverage.
