我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I was a part of Couchsurfing for 11 years. However I stopped over the pandemic as I felt too many men are giving some people a terrible experience. This is not Tinder. Follow the original concept of being generous to tired travellers. If you want to make money go to AirBnB, or a date go to the pub or a club. I returned as I missed the socialising and joy of meeting and making new friends . I hope to help even more people this time.

I would really like to help someone from Ukraine learn English and integrate into our society so they can stay here. I am looking for someone to help me learn Russian and Polish.

I don’t agree with people who request to stay and then don’t come. I do it for company and I take good care of people who come and stay. It is just awful when you treat me like a safety net and don’t bother to come when you find somewhere close to the centre. Shame on you. I live alone it’s just me and my Dog and we look forward to someone’s company.

Just about everything the world has to offer. The biggest thrill I have experienced when travelling was learning another language and then realising I have a whole new group of friends because I learned to speak to them.

I believe in being kind and what goes around comes around. I am trying to make my lounge ‘Vintage’ I will eventually have a duke box, turntable with vinyl records and an asteroid arcade machine. Then finally I can enjoy my retirement and be the big kid I always wanted to be.

I recently renovated the kitchen and I welcome anyone interested in sharing techniques to make delicious food. I welcome dieticians and chefs from all around the world.

I love to sing to easy listening music, I have 8,000 films and many on DVD. My favourite book is Laurie Lee as I walked out one mid summer morning. My favourite movie is Roman Holiday. My favourite song is I need your love so bad.
