I'm a second year Computer Engineering student at Bogazici University. I live and study in Istanbul, near the beautiful Bosphorus.

I'm a highly ambitious and competitive person, and I love sports. Throughout my life, I have been interested in many of them, and finally find my passion in cycling. I consider myself as I cyclist and shape my life around it.

Although I love traveling abroad, I haven't had many opportunities so far, but everybody got to start from somewhere. That's how I discovered CS, and I look forward to this great experience.

I'm starting a month-long Interrail trip around Central/Eastern Europe at the end of July. Lots of cities to see and people to meet!
So far: Athens-Milan-Bergamo-Zurich-Amsterdam-Hamburg-Berlin

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like traveling, and I also like meeting new people. CS is a platform where I can do both, while learning about new cultures.

I don't have an opportunity to host people, as I stay in a university dormitory myself, but I hope to be a host one day.

Interests

Cycling is hands down my favorite sport. I love how it makes you feel free while you are out on your bike on a route that you haven't taken yet. Also the suffering that you endure when you push yourself to the limits.

Apart from cycling I'm generally interested in many sports. When I'm in a city I like to learn about people's favourite sports and talk about it with them.
I also love Formula 1 and am a big Ferrari fan! Maybe that's why I love suffering 🤪

I love animals, especially dogs, and love to spend time with them. We have a lot of strays in Turkey, and I do whatever I can to make their life better, as they are a huge part of our life. If you have a dog I would love to take care of him/her if you allow me!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love rock and metal bands such as Metallica, Slipknot and Guns n' Roses. I also like rappers such as Eminem and NF.

Although I like reading novels, for the past years I've concentrated more on reading academic books. My favorite field of interest is economics, macroeconomics to be more precise. I also like reading books about anthoropology.

I also love the Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski.

Not much preference in movies, generally like them if they are good quality.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't have much to teach, but I would be a good student if you are willing to. I would love to learn some basic language when I'm in a different country.

I can't cook but I will be a good student if you want to teach :)
