Overview
About Me
Hi, I’m Hussein, a Jordanian writer and counselor who is deeply curious about people, cultures, and stories.
I recently finished my bachelor’s degree in counseling and I’m planning to pursue a master’s in clinical psychology. I’m especially interested in psychodynamic therapy and understanding how childhood experiences shape who we become.
I’m the kind of person who genuinely enjoys deep conversations about life, identity, meaning, culture, relationships, and human behavior, but I also appreciate simple moments like sharing tea and laughing about cultural misunderstandings.
I’ve had the chance to experience life abroad during my Erasmus exchange in Lithuania. Living in another country taught me how much growth happens outside your comfort zone, and how powerful cultural exchange can be.
My philosophy:
Life is a puzzle, and every person we meet hands us a piece of the picture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, travel isn’t just about sightseeing. It’s about connection. I’m interested in meeting people who are open-minded, reflective, and curious about the world.
Interests
I'm drawn to people; wherever they come from, there's always a thread of similarity where we connect, and a spark of difference from which we learn.
