About Me

*I'm currently travelling so I won't be able to host until November*

Disclaimer:
I know my name is not German, but I'll explain when we meet.

19 years old, finished Highschool last year, currently travelling abroad trying to see and experience the world and also not die trusting strangers on Couchsurfing.

Ever since I was a kid I dreamt about travelling the world and seeing amazing countries and meet new people. When I finished Highschool in summer 2021 I knew I couldn't immediately go to university as so many others of my peers did. I decided to work to pay off my travels and in February of 2022 I started in Iceland. At least I thought so.

2 weeks before departure my flight was cancelled and there was no way I would delay my travel plans. As I couldn't find a replacement flight to Iceland I had to figure out where to go. And that led me to Ireland (mostly because the flight was so cheap). 1st of February my flight left for Dublin.

After one great month in Ireland -still want to see Iceland tho:( - my next destination was Sri Lanka. Here I truly had an extraordinary experience, meeting backpackers from all around the world and connecting with the locals, feeling more than just welcome. Right now I'm travelling Vietnam for a month and hopefully see as much of it as possible. Maybe I'll meet some of you guys along the way and we can have a great time together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet new people, discover connection and frankly, be able to travel affordably.

I think this platform gives one the opportunity to see beyond your own borders and experience the world from a different perspective than just travelling from hotel to hotel. Surfing also gives me the opportunity to meet new, exciting people who have a similar mindset as me concerning travel.

While being on my journey and through the people that I met I realized that I still have to figure myself out, figure out who I want to be and what I want from life. Couchsurfing for me is all about the people you meet, the people who open up your horizon and change you forever. I'm grateful that I found that here.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that through sharing our stories and experiences with one another we can learn so much more about life. I love sharing my story with others as well as hearing theirs.

I really enjoy practicing my English and Spanish by talking with other people as the English/Spanish classes in school sucked.

I love playing the guitar and jamming with other people near a campfire and have fun. Music is one of my favorite things. Although my theoretical understanding of music could be described as "lacking" at best and "actually non-existent" at worst for me it's all about the feeling, the way you connect with it. It's about the sensation you get when you're in the tunnel and there is nothing except you and the music. To share that with someone, especially a stranger, is something special to me.

You can also hook me instantly by talking about movies. From classics like the godfather over back to the future to modern cinema like Marvel/Indie/everything Wes Anderson I love talking about the process of filmmaking varying from acting, VFX, stunt work, screenwriting, cinematography etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Travel stories, having a nice time, sharing new experiences and meaningful or semi-meaningful conversation (like what color that Instagram dress actually was, I'm team Gold/white).

I'm always super excited to meet people and get to know them. I love talking about music, movies, sports and everything in between. I also enjoy going out, clubbing and having some drinks or having a smoke.
