Hi, I am Jéssica, a master's student in Biological Oceanography from southern Brazil. I research dolphins and am passionate about marine mammals and the Ocean.
I love traveling, knowing new places and food, adventuring, being in nature, learning new languages, and meeting different people and cultures. I believe each culture holds its own perception of the world around us, and learning people's diverse ways of thinking brings us growth and enrichment.
I enjoy talking about all different subjects, spending quality time with friends and family, being outdoors, or staying in to watch some good movies/series.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to Couchsurfing, and I joined because I wanted to travel and present my work at conferences around the world while meeting those places. I believe this is a more authentic travel style for making friends, getting to know the local culture, and creating memorable connections.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music style is MBP, which stands for "Brazilian Popular Music" but I actually like a lot of different styles like jazz, folk, pop, k-pop, etc.

I like classic romance movies (like Pride and prejudice), sci-fi, animation, and basically any movie with a good plot. Some of my favorites: Pride and prejudice, You've Got Mail, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Matrix, Luca, Finding Nemo, etc.

Regarding books, I prefer fiction! Some of my favorites are Pride and prejudice (again!), The Chronicles of Narnia and sci-fi books on dystopic worlds.
