Hey! My name is Fernando. I was born and grow up in Venezuela until I was 18 [two years ago, approximately].

Then, I moved to Madeira.

I would like to study medicine in a top-world university and I am working for it. I am so curious and I love the science; after the medicine, another thing I love is the space exploration. I wish combine both passion doing research about the human body changes in the space conditions for the NASA, the ESA or SpaceX in the future. 🚀

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's impossible to know every corner or our world in only one life. However, we can share our experience, feelings and thoughts with others; that's another way to travel and for me it's one of things that make us human: the capacity to share and express each other beyond the time or the distance.

Interests

I wish to learn many different things. My interest are so diverse, and sometimes I think I am not able to choose what I would develop and what not.

Reading is one of my favorite activities. I could be in my room but my mind is fighting with imaginary monster or I could learn about the monstrous things that happened in the past.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorites books are:

• The Analyst - John Katzenbach, because it was the first novel I read and that introduces me to the books world.

• Just Cause - John Katzenbach, because until now it's the best one of that writer I've read.

• A Song of Ice and Fire - George R. R. Martin. It's the saga that HBO serie Game of Throne is based. However, the budget of the producers is limited while your imagination's one isn't.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I felt like a full ilusion little kid when I was able to see the International Space Station crossing the sky one morning. It's a very bright light in the sky, that moves very quickly. It is insane to think that it is the home for some people during some months.

Teach, Learn, Share

I grew up in a country that was falling apart. That was a little bit hard, but at the same time that environment make develop some abilities, have a lot of funny stories and be so humble and grateful with things that should be normal.
