Hi! My name is Brennan and I'm a recent engineering graduate and a newbie to Couchsurfing! I recently completed a 3 month solo backpacking trip through Western Europe (which was amazing) and definitely caught the travel bug along the way! Big sports and fitness fan, I used to compete in badminton and basketball and avidly watch the NBA and NHL when I get a chance!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Being able to connect with people from different backgrounds and parts of the world is truly incredible, I’ve met some of the kindest people I know through Couchsurfing and by chance.

Many of my most memorable experiences were the ones that were off the beaten path and recommended by locals - I’d love to continue exploring what the world has to offer!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Definitely a mixed bag. I love 2000s throwback songs, instrumental music and a band called Simple Plan.

Movies: I'm always a sucker for good mystery or dystopian shows - personal favorites would have to be Psych (one of the funniest and best shows you will ever watch) and 3% (a Brazilian series where most of the population lives in poverty and 3% live in paradise). Also a big Harry Potter and 21/22 Jump Street fan!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my hobbies is winning giant stuffed animals at carnivals and giving them away to kids and charities. Over the past 10 years, I've probably donated over 200 stuffed animals!

Also built a robot in 3 days for a competition, and won an escape room competition with 370 teams competing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I'm a badminton coach (used to compete for 10 years in Canada)! I also have a knack for figuring out personality types (try me!)

Learn: When someone is really passionate and knowledgeable about something, I love learning from them. I find that I pick up so much from just listening and it's an awesome way to connect with someone. I also love playing piano and would be happy to teach you a bit!
