Hey! My name is James, I am 26 and was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪☘️ I have been travelling the Americas for nearly 9 months now documenting a lot of my travels on my drone making a number of exchanges along the way. These exchanges consist of the creation of advertisement photos/videos with my drone, permaculture/eco-construction work or even hospitality/customer service jobs. One such job included running a property named Dharma in Chacahua, Mexico for several months.
I love photography, being out in nature, paddleboarding (SUP), hiking, swimming, surfing, meditation, playing sports of any kind, visiting markets and supporting local businesses, attending live music events, dancing and connecting with people around the world of different backgrounds.
Right now I am learning Spanish, I can understand conversations and believe I am at an intermediate speaking level.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing to meet locals and make genuine connections while traveling the world. I would love to make many life long friends while visiting each country, I don't want to travel aimlessly from place to place. I really want to meet like minded people and get a greater insight on how people live their life on a different side of the world. To share knowledge, laughter and good times.

Interests

I am a European (EASA) recognised drone pilot and would love to pursue this passion as a full time career. Music is a huge part of my life and I enjoyed learning new music from all over the world, an aim of mine traveling is to learn to play an instrument before returning home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have taken my paddleboard and drone to an old island off the west coast of Ireland, which was used many many years ago by priests to visit for private prayer. This island is so small and contained 3 dwellings, including an old round tower. Being the only person on this small island beside the North Atlantic Ocean was such a surreal feeling and something I won't forget.

I love learning about new languages and cultures but also teaching what I know! I am more than happy to share my knowledge of the English language, drone piloting, drone photography, chess, and/or whatever I can share some knowledge about.
