About Me
ABOUT MY TRIP IN AUSTRALIA
I arrived in Australia last October in Sydney and I’m really enjoying the country and my travelling lifestyle so far. About the things I’ve done :
- spent 3 weeks as a volunteer in an animal sanctuary an learned a lot about Australian native animals
- travelled in Tasmania with a van and did a lot of hikes all around the island
- worked for three months in very remote place called hebel in Queensland
- done the east coast from Brisbane to Cairns and stopped at all the famous and beautiful places
- travelled from Cairns to Darwin by car in a convoy with 4 others people and visited the Kakadu National Park
ABOUT ME
I just graduated from an architecture school in France and I'm taking some time to travel. After having been focused on my studies for 5 years, I wanted to seek a slightly different experience that would help me grow and discover myself in a different way.
I grew up in France in the countryside, so I like wide open spaces and nature, what I like to find is serenity and calm while feeling so small compared to it. I also love cities and more urban spaces (I studied architecture after all 🙂) and discovering places by walking and strolling in the streets.
I am passionate about all forms of art (from design and handicraft to photography and architecture of course) since I started studying art in high school. I'm always ready to discover new things and new artists even if I sometimes don't understand everything!
Otherwise, I'm passionate about architecture because of its relationship with construction but also and especially because of its social aspect. It is a way for me to question the relationships between people, different cultures and society in general. That's why I like to travel, meet people, gather a lot of experiences and learn everyday !
I also like sports and I have already practiced some, but I don't intend to stop here and continue to discover other practices, starting with surfing!
Finally some words about my personality, I’m a rather discreet and shy person but if I feel confident it is not difficult for me to open up to people ! 😉
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I said before, immersion in a country is really important to me and gives a special meaning to your trip, so what better way than to stay with locals?
I've already had the chance to live with an American family for a few weeks to learn English and I loved it so I'd like to recapture some of that experience through my travels.
