About Me
Hi!
I'm Ayça, 2nd year molecular biology and genetics student from İstanbul, Turkey.
I used this profile before to find couches during a winter trip through Sweden, Austria, Jordan, Italy, and France with my best friend, approximately 2 years ago :)) And could say couchsurfing was so fun and it did teach a lot to us back then!
I was an 'au pair' in Brittany, France for four months in 2022 and this experience kind of made me a different person than before. I travelled alone during that time, hitchhiked through the Bretagne while getting into the French culture and language.
I'm not the most talkative person, generally prefer to observe people, and the environment which I'm trying to alter, and it's one of the reasons why I'm couchsurfing :))
I LOVE music, have my airpods on my ears %90 of the time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Breaking my chains. It’s easy to book hostel rooms while we’re traveling, but what Couchsurfing offers us is more than just finding a place to stay: it’s getting know new people and cultures, finding maybe new friends, perhaps touching someone else’s life or getting touched by someone you didn’t even know the day before.

Music, Movies, and Books
Trying to learn French for the last 2 years, I have been kind of obsessed with French music and I have genuinely been discovering other sides of French music every single day.
I am a REAL FAN of Parcels and L’Imperatrice! I believe everyone should give them a shot:))
Of course I love the classics: Queen, Oasis, The Smiths..
You can check my spotify:)!: https://open.spotify.com/user/21knqdb4lys55m3mtvxg24qny?si=fbc6a5a155e54195
It's kind of been tricky to read these days because of focusing problems, but could say 'To kill a mockingbird' and 'The brave new world' are my favourites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiking around Bretagne, France.
Going a country to live where I didn’t even know the language.
Travelling 25 days straight through Europe and middle-east with Ceren, my best friend.
Couchsurfing, for sure!
