I’m Emily - a 20 yo International Relations student from Bulgaria. Originally I’m from a small town in the Rhodopes but most of the time I live and study in Sofia.

I smile a lot, I’m curious about pretty much everything and I believe one can learn something from each and everyone they meet. That’s why I love meeting new people and listening to their stories. I’d be more than happy to hear yours too! 😇

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My philosophy is that diversity is the greatest thing this world has to offer. I mean all kinds of it - natural, cultural, racial, diversity of peoples, ideas, points of view… the list goes on and the way I see it, I can’t live my life at its fullest if I don’t get to observe and experience as much of it as I can.

Travelling is one amazing way to do it but even better one is through the people you meet and the connections you create in the process.

This is exactly what Couchsurfing does and that’s why I’m here. From deep conversations about stuff like literature, history and politics to just grabbing a beer /or a shot 😁/ and having a fun time…I’m here for it all.

🎶 - The music I listen to strongly depends on the mood and can vary from 2000s Hip Hop to Azis /if you know, you know, and if you don’t - here’s another reason to meet up 😉/. Either way, my all time go-to is Rock.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Aside from my constant hype and curiosity 😄…. I’ve been a folklore dancer for 11 years and I’m quite patriotic when it comes to my country’s cultural heritage. So I can share everything I know about the Bulgarian history, culture, folklore and traditions. Also I’m not much of a cook but luckily some of the traditional Bulgarian dishes are really easy to prepare.
