Overview
About Me
Bonjour, boujour!!
My name is Clemence, I'm a french student doing a Master in International Relations in Barcelona. 📖
I am a very joyful, easy going, curious, spontaneous and open minded person. I love meeting people from different backgrounds, countries, cultures and share experiences! 😊
I think that life is way too short, and there is just way too much to learn and way too many places to discover in our amazing world to stay at home!
So I've spent the last 3 years exploring, traveling and roaming around most parts of Europe and Latino America. ⛵🌎🌍
In general I basically spent half of my life abroad, and so I can very easily feel at home everywhere I go! 🌞

Interests
I love to share traveling stories, discover new places and people, learn from new cultures, partying and laughing, A LOT! 😁
I loooove cinema, and I used to do theater and play as an actress in short movies. 🎥🎞
I have been dancing Bachata for a couple of months. I also tried my hand at dancing Kizumba and I would love to learn Salsa next! I am also happy to find dancers on my travels to train and improve together! 😁💃🕺
Apart from that I am vegetarian🐰🥬, care a lot about the environment and its preservation, love to go on new adventures and being in the nature!
I also try to go to the gym regularly to keep myself fit 💪

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite author is a polish reporter from the 20th century called Ryszard Kapuściński.
He spend over 50years reporting on social and political events in Africa, Central America and Asia. His books are just incredibly interesting! If you like history, sociology and learning about cultures I fully recommend it to you! :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some of my greatest traveling archivements 😂:
-I've been to the highest Irish pub in the world, and also the southernmost one 🇮🇪
- I crossed the Ecuadorian-Peruvian border in the Amazon forest by canoe 🚣♀️🇪🇨🇵🇪
- I lived a couple of weeks on a wild island in Kuna Yala, sleeping in a hammock on the beach, drinking rain water and fishing with a wooden stick to eat 🏝
- I went down the whole South American continent by bus (took me 7 months) 🚌💭
- When I was 19, I went alone to Togo to volunteer in a small local humanitarian association 🇹🇬
- When I turned 18, with a friend we went on a roadtrip without money or bank card, hitchhiking our way through the south of France and sleeping in a tente. The goal was to make a social experiment, to see how it feels to live without any money in our modern consumerist world... 🌍💸
- I did a 1month roadtrip in Italy, sleeping in the car because we had no money for hostels (and sadly didn't know couchsurfing at the time) 🇮🇹 🚙🤌
- I met amazing people from all over the world, who taught me incredible things and made me evolve so much, and I can't wait to continue! 😃
(And many more crazy stories 😁😎)
Teach, Learn, Share
I did Sociology for my undergraduate degree, and I am also kind of a History nerd 🤓 I thing it is essential to get to know the background of a place, and the people living there to really understand it, which is for me the real goal of a travel. ☺
I am completely fluent in english, hablo español también, und ich kann ein bisschen deutsch sprechen. 🙃
I love to learn and converse in different languages, and I'd be happy to help with your french if you are interested in learning it!
