My name is Lara, I am a queer icon from Istanbul :D I have been living in Paris for three years now, i came here to study philosophy. This summer i am traveling alone in europe for the first time and I’m really excited about it!! My plan is to go start from paris and travel by railway and seaway until istanbul where i will meet with my family🌸 I love to make acquaintance with people who can make the experience of visiting a new city even more incredible . 🌈

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to go to countries that i haven’t seen before and meet with people who live there or who are also visiting as me, but who will let me have a different experience of the local life. i find the opportunity to meet with people who are interested in having the same kind of experiences is amazing, that is the main reason im couchsurfing and i hope that i will be able to host people when i arrive istanbul !!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : i like punk rock, psychedelic rock, new wave, dark wave, techno, hyperpop, funk, jazz and jazz rap. I think what kind of music i listen to changes according to the day I’m having
Movies: i love directors like gaspar noé, kubrick, heneke and agnès varda. But i enjoy more if the movie i watch is from a director that i don’t know and i feel like watching all their movies after it.
Books: i usually read philosophy and psychoanalysis books but i love good novels like hundred years of solitude from gabriel garcia marquez, and crime and punishment from dostoyovski.

I am quite friendly i would say :) i can offer you cooking great Turkish recipes. If you are interested in philosophy or films i think we will be able to have long deep conversations for hours. If you want to practice french Turkish or English with me i would be glad to do so, im also learning Spanish right now so that would be amazing !!
