About Me

Namaste!!

I'm Nandakumar, a.k.a Nandu, an adventurous hyper enthusiastic ever, curious human being in search of stories.
I love stories, writing them, making then telling them, and most importantly, listening to them. Ever since I was a kid up until today, I have been captivated by stories around me.

Please feel free to request last minute as well, and I'll try my best to accommodate you at my place. Unfortunately, I can only accept one person. I request you to read the "My Home" page and then take a decision.
Looking forward to the person who sends a request! :)

(About me)

I was born and raised in a small town in the south of India called Calicut, which belongs to Kerala. And after my schooling there, I pursued design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, around 2000 km from my place. This was when I evolved from level 1 to level 2 (almost like a Pokemon), and now I'm studying Visual communication at Pforzheim University in Germany. And currently undergoing evolution from level 2 to level 3 :)

I'm 20 years old, and unfortunately or fortunately, I don't look like one. So I'm still growing and learning from my friends, family, and many wonderful strangers who crossed paths with me.

This is my first time traveling away from my country traveling alone, and it has been quite an adventure to date. On my trip to Barcelona for the La Merce festival, some couch surfers I met recommended this app called Couchsurfing, which I'm trying out for the first time. Hence I don't have any references. But I'm looking forward to the adventures ahead.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To make new friends and learn from strangers about life and of course travel Europe and have fun with new people.

Interests

I have grown up drawing and painting. Every Sunday from age 6 till age 16 I spent in an art class crafting my skills. Then i took a break for 3 years for studies. Then i got to know about something called Designing and have been dabbling in the field of Visual design for the last 3 years trying to learn all i can about design.

A huge football since since my childhood and a big Messi fan (also a Ronaldo fan) since i started playing football myself. I have played football at school level, state level and was a reserve at the National level. Now i play as a hobby with my friends occasionally, but I'm a huge addict about football news.

Cooking is something i have gotten into recently since i started living alone, but I enjoy it when i cook something new.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Bollywood music, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Drake, Charlie Puth, Shreya Ghoshal, Also into the Beatles and When Chai met toast.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done a lot of things i consider to be amazing in my life in Europe.

1. The sleeping record: slept in the train station, slept in parks, slept on roads...

2. Did salsa with a 70 year old lady in a bar in Berlin

3.Got stuck in a lift on my first day in Europe in my own apartment. LOL

4.Booked a flight ticket to Barcelona and planned my trip to Barcelona on the bus I took to the airport.

5.Danced in fire at the La Merce in Barcelona.

6.Had a 3 hour long conversation with a quantum physicist about religion and science over a bottle of Jack Daniels.

7. Survived my trip to Berlin only on Currywurst and Doner Kebab.

Teach, Learn, Share

I held a drawing workshop for a big group of around 40 people from the age of 6 to around 27 when i was 16 year old because my art teacher was sick and told me to take a class..... So i guess i am certified enough to teach you how to draw or paint.

I'm always curious about everything so I'm open to learning anything and everything 😃.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell you a lot Indian mythological stories, maybe then we can draw and paint together (not to bribe but i can draw a portrait for you). Then maybe cook you some nice Indian dish.

Countries I’ve Visited
