Hello, I‘m Melanie, an open-minded, 24 y/o student🌞
I live in Landau, which is a town located in the picturesque and hilly wine region, that I moved to 4 years ago for my educational studies.

I am enthusiastic about other cultures and languages which I love to dive into when I am traveling. This year I made my first experience with Couchsurfing with best friend Chiara visiting France and Italy. Since then, I got so excited about Italy (even more than I’ve already been) that I started to learn Italian. Besides languages, I love nature, especially hiking and climbing, which, often times, is my number one activity while traveling. The best hikes I had were in Hong Kong where I did my exchange year in 2023. I even bought myself one of these special hiking pants, so here the stereotype about hiking-loving Germans becomes true ;) When traveling, I love to take pictures with my old analogue camera, capturing beautiful landscapes, and the moments that me and my friends share together. Another hobby (which I just recently started) is to play the guitar, where I still need to practice a lot but I am getting there. Also I tried surfing for the first last year in Spain and then did again some months later in Taiwan🏄‍♀️

Sharing time with me will probably be easy going since I get excited about activities of all sorts, may it be doing some active stuff outside, partying all night long, trying all kinds of food or just relaxing and sitting in a cafe for hours. I am looking forward to become your Buddy for no matter what activity and to be part of this amazing community 🫶
