We are 2 girls Célia and Luce travelling around Latin America . We are from France and we have decided to take a gap year to discover the world, new cultures and of course meet new people. We are open minded and want to discover and learn from our meetings but also from what the world can offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We chose Couchsurfing because we want to discover something more authentic and local. Being in a hostel is nice to meet people of our age but we want to share something more special with the local people. We want to create links for life with people and we want to share and transmit experiences of travel and life.

Music, Movies, and Books

About music, we have different taste: Luce is more into Rock, US rap, Pop and RnB. I (Célia) prefer alternative song, electro and French rap.
About movies, Luce is into horror movies, romantic ones but also art film. I am completely different because my taste are terrible but I still am a huge fan of French comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Célia: I had the opportunity 1 years ago to travel in Costa Rica to do volunteering. I had to teach some English to young children. This experience was one of my best because it was so cool to help people and to share some time and knowledges with those amazing children. But also because I met so many people and all those meetings were very inspiring. Thanks to that experience, we've created a real family after 5 weeks together giving class, travelling and discovering.

Luce : This year, I had the chance to live and study in England for a few months and it was awesome. Indeed, I've met so many people that I still talk to but also that really help me to discover myself a bit more. I've realised since then that I really do love travelling and meeting people, that is why I want to enjoy it as much as I can.

Teach, Learn, Share

I (Célia) love cooking, more salty thing instead of pastry but if is it what you prefer I can make some for sure. For me, travelling is also taste and discover new food and new way of cooking. I will be more than happy to show you some of my favorite recipe or French recipe also, I will be so happy to discover yours. I also speak French and English fluently so it could be very nice to teach you some words in French or typical expressions.

I (Luce) love Irish dancing, that is really the only thing that I could teach you if you're interested because I am a professional dancer in France. I would also be very interested to learn some moves and dances from you. I am also fluent in French and English so, I could help if you want to learn new languages or even help you to improve.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If we chose this platform it's because we want to share moments and experiences. But, I am sure that I already made myself clear about that previously. Our journey starts in Mexico at the end of October that's why we don't have any opinion but we can't wait to start it.
