Hello, I'm Barış. I am an Erasmus student and I am studying teaching English. Normally I live in Turkey but I have been in Poland for the last 3 months. Erasmus is a great chance for me and I want to travel the world as much as I can during the Erasmus process. I love traveling, meeting new people and seeing different cultures. I have traveled to 4 countries so far and I hope this number will increase in the coming days :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet new people and see their culture. I know it's cliche, but really, CS allows you that. You can learn about a country's culture from the internet or from a book, but learning from someone who lives in that culture is both much more enjoyable and accurate. Yes, you can choose to stay in a hotel, but meeting new people and being a part of their world for a while...it is truly amazing!

Music, Movies, and Books

Since there are so many singers and songs that I love about music, I think it would take hours if I tried to write it here, but I can say that I especially love Rock.

I don't have the habit of watching many movies, but there are still good movies that I watch. At the beginning of these, I can say Intouchables, besides being a very good movie, it also made me love French :)

Books...books...things I can't do, no matter how hard I try to get into the habit of reading :/

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I thought about it, nothing came to mind, but I think the most amazing thing I've done so far is Erasmus. It really matured me, changed my mentality and allowed me to see different people and cultures. It was very difficult for me to go abroad (because its expensive!!!), but I can say that Erasmus made it easier for me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my Erasmus memories, I can talk about my own culture or we can chat in general, practice English (or maybe you can teach me your language), cook together, play chess, talk football or basketball. I think I got a little bit of everything :p
